Fortune Mouse: a lucky charm on the reels, ordinary maths underneath
Fortune Mouse is a slot from the Naya catalogue with one of the friendliest thumbnails in the lobby: a beaming mouse in a red jacket with gold frog buttons, cherry blossom on the side. The styling borrows from Lunar New Year imagery, where the mouse — the first animal of the zodiac cycle — stands for a lucky start. It is a pleasant theme. It is also the first thing to set aside when you decide whether to play, because a theme never changes the odds.
The game is not in our data sheet, so we name no studio, RTP, grid size or maximum win here.
Theme versus mechanics
Lucky-charm slots tend to be marketed with words like fortune, prosperity and wealth. None of these describe how the game pays. Three things do, and all three are in the rules:
- The grid. A compact grid with few lines usually produces frequent, small results; a large grid with many ways to win can swing harder.
- The special symbol. Many themed slots give the mascot a role — a wild, a multiplier, a symbol that triggers respins. Find out what the mouse actually does.
- The feature trigger. Is there a free-spin round, a random feature on any spin, or no separate feature at all?

Hit frequency: the number nobody advertises
Hit frequency is the share of spins that return anything at all. A slot with a high hit frequency feels lively even when most hits are smaller than the stake — they are partial refunds dressed as wins. Studios do not always publish this number. A demo session gives you a rough version: count the spins that paid something out of a hundred, and note how many of those paid more than the stake. The two numbers together tell you more than the colour of the reels.
A small-budget plan
Hypothetically, with 50 units for an evening you could play a hundred spins at half a unit, or twenty-five at two units. On a lively, low-volatility game the first plan gives you a full session; on a volatile game even a hundred spins may pass without a feature. If the rules suggest the mouse is a feature-heavy slot, keep the stake small and decide in advance where you stop, win or lose.
Using bonus funds here
Video slots usually count fully towards wagering, but maximum-bet limits and excluded-game lists still apply. Read the offer’s terms before you load bonus money into any themed slot. Our free spins guide explains why free spins are often tied to a single named title and what happens to the winnings.
